My Projects
Here are the latest projects we’ve worked on at our work space, obfuscated enough to respect the NDAs:
- Prototypes for testing the feel of interaction in future UI concepts.
- Online XML editor with a schema-like system for restricting user input.
- Dynamic 3D visualization of contact relationships in a social network for Nokia.
- Website makeover for DJ Orkidea. The site was redesigned and feature were added for Orkidea’s Metaverse tour.
- A simple game in Flash, for a marketing campaign. The challenge was to synchronize the game to music and create a game replay system.
- A book on social media and all things 2.0 (in Finnish), co-authored with Sami Salmenkivi. The book has sold quite well and has been awarded the “Kultasulka” award by the Finnish Association of Marketing Communication Agencies (to simplify a bit, it’s a book of the year award).
- A product customization tool with a hugely complex and changing data set. The Flash thingy has something called “the exception engine”, which might give you an idea of the actual complexity involved.
I’m currently more or less actively working on:
- A presentation on the value of user experience. Come check it out at Web 2.0 Expo in Berlin!
Some future projects I hope will get the go-ahead soon:
- User interface system for train brake testing.
- A business-oriented Flex project.
