Fix OS X security daemon “memory leak” 23:51 on Monday
If your Mac is really slow after the 10.4.10 update, it might be caused by the securityd process hogging all your memory. If the “update keychain” dialog boxes take ages to do their thing, it’s a pretty clear sign you have this problem.
No worries though, the fix is near:
- Open a new Finder window.
- Press cmd+shift+G and enter /var/db to go to the hidden folder.
- Move CodeEquivalenceDatabase to trash. You will be prompted for admin password.
- Restart.
Enjoy a responsive computer.

If you were here, I’d stamp a big kiss on your forehead! I’ve been fighting with this for hours now after the upgrade 10.4.9 to 10.4.11 !!!
thanks!
