Keeping with the self-elected theme of year 2007 — social responsibility, sustainability and environment — I pose this question:

How often does forgoing paper equal increased energy consumption? If no paper means mo’ electricity, how well do these offset each other? What is the ecological footprint of a paper letter vs. emailed PDF? Or a paperback versus an eBook on an eReader?
