YouTube podcasts 19:00 on Thursday
Any active YouTube users out there, please help me: is it possible to subscribe to YouTube users’ streams, tags, or searches as podcasts…?

Niko, I’m not sure exactly what you’re asking here, but the two main forms for RSS feeds on YouTube are:
http://www.youtube.com/rss/user/username/videos.rss so if you want to get videos made by me, you have to know my username is lloyddavis so my feed is:
http://www.youtube.com/rss/user/lloyddavis/videos.rss
and then you can also have http://www.youtube.com/rss/tag/tagname.rss so for all videos about stormhoek, you subscribe to: http://www.youtube.com/rss/tag/stormhoek.rss

I wouldn’t call myself active in the YouTube area, but… on a related note, take a look at http://www.xbmcscripts.com/

Thanks Lloyd. The RSS feeds seem to include a tiny flash file only, which then in turn loads the actual video. By “subscribing to podcast” I was thinking about downloading full videos along the subscribed RSS, automatically uploading the videos to an iPod and then watching them on the go. Would be kinda cool, wouldn’t it. And time saving too, if I could get a feed for all the silly videos emailed to me. ;)
Tommi, so in essence, it would be possible to make an XBMC script to do the equivalent of “downloading a podcast”, except that it would download the videos to an Xbox? Now all I need is a portable Xbox. :P
